About Us

Stockton Chess Club has been meeting for many years, and is a friendly, welcoming place for players of all abilities.

We play at the Buffs Social Club at 60 Norton Road, Stockton-on-Tees.

We tend to play friendlies on club nights. Sometimes we play with the clocks (5 or 10 mins each) and sometimes without. We have an individual Club Championship every season where players play two games against each other (one as black and one as white). Each player has 25 minutes to play their moves and there are normally five rounds which take place over the course of the season.

We have previously entered teams in the Cleveland Chess League, and hope to do that again in coming seasons.

We play every Thursday evening from 7pm at the Buffs Social Club in Stockton-on-Tees.

Some members also meet at Caffe Nero in Stockton at 1pm on Monday afternoons.
